1:19 Valentine Miller Residence

Public Deposited

415 North Franklin; Kirksville Photos by Drake, 1893: The Clifford Henry Album (MUSDP K1)

Valentine & Margaret (Class) Miller's impressive home, remodeled in 1892, was definitely good advertising for V. Miller Lumber, his retail lumber yard & contracting business. Miller established the firm when he moved to Kirksville in 1880; he retired and sold it to his son-in-law, Clarence J. Baxter, in 1908. Dee Riley bought the house in 1928 and remodeled it again to accommodate his residence and the Dee Riley Funeral Home.
