Public DepositedReal estate agent Thomas J. Dockery was active in city government and was elected to the Kirksville City Council several times in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He served his first term as Mayor in 1897 and held the office again for three terms, 1901-03. He and Mrs. Dockery (Julia Linder) are shown here on the front porch of their home; daughters Ethel Ardella, Leota Lillian, and Julia Estelle are on the steps and lawn.
