2:19 William T. Baird Residence

William Thomas Baird, President of First International Bank (formerly First National Bank), and his wife Martha Hannah Baird, built this home at 304 South Franklin Street, two blocks south of the bank, in 1893. William was associated with the bank, familiarly known as "Baird's Bank" in one capacity or another, janitor to owner/president, for over 40 years. He retired in 1906.
