I got your letter that had Hugh Attemberry Funeral in it sure was to [sic] bad. How is everbody [sic] at home now. I am well as can be hope you are the same. I have been but to the front for some time. I cant [sic] tell you just where I have been shot at in several ways but they hant [sic] got my number yet, sure sory [sic] Mimie has got to go back (Page 2) [no text] (Page 3) 2 to the hospital. I want you to go down and write a letter for her. Has Don been class yet if he has I want you to tell me what class he is in. Tell me if Bill Tibbitt has been call. Will [sic] I dont [sic] no [sic] much to tell you as we have to keep ahead all the time. And other thing I am smoking Bull Durum so if you can send me some cigarettes they will be appricated [sic]. Well from what promises has been taking they say that Fritz cant [sic] run.
