(Page 1) March 12th 1919 Miesenhiem [sic] Germany Dear Mother:- Well ma I will try and drop you a few lines again tonight this leaves me well and hope it finds you all the same we are having some fine weather over here at present. I was on guard last night and today till noon. We have some fun out of the dutch now we have got the national Colors up and make the Germans take their hats off to it when they pass it and also make (Page 2) them stand at attention and take off their hats when the colors is played at retreat. I got a letter from Kate today and one from Rosa also. Well ma I don't know just when I will get to come home but I think it will be in a month or two there was a rumor going around that the drafted men was a going to be transferred out of the Div and there would be a bunch of regulars come in and fill it up. They have all ready built new barracks here for them the officers told some of the men today that we was a going to parade for General Pershing Monday so if we do we want to be here much longer I sure will be glad when I get out of this place for I am getting sick of this country, I was thinking something about renlisting and going to China but I have changed my mind as I have got all of the army and this foreign country that I want. Well I will close for this time as it is getting late so will say good by answer soon from your loving son Clifford Morrow Co. L. 4 Inf. A.E.F. via New York don't worry (about me) (Page 3) Pvt.
