Italy's Royal Memento of the Anniversary of the War

ON MAY 23 it was exactly twelve months since Italy joined the Allies and made war upon Austria, its 
former ally, for the recovery of lost provinces. To commemorate that anniversary the children of the 
King and Queen posed for the painting reproduced above. The picture was photographed in post-card size 
and sold to loyal subjects by the million.
