Marines are trained as infantrymen, artillerymen, engineers, airmen and signalmen. They are also trained 
in many of the duties of the sailor.

Land-Sea-Sky

The wide range of their usefulness has sent them first to the front in every war, or near-war, in which 
the United States has engaged. Marines and action are synonymous, and in military terms are almost 
interchangeable.
