(Page 1) NATIONAL WAR WORK COUNCIL ARMY AND NAVY YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATIONS "WITH THE COLORS" May 30, 1918 Mr. W.J. Bray, Kirksville, Mo. Dear Mr. Bray:- I gave you my address a short time ago & told you that I would give you any change that I might make. My address is now: 4th O.T.C., Camp Funston, Kan. As you perhaps have noticed, the 89th Dvision has moved to the east for "going over." My baggage was loaded on the car for moving when the order came down that left the O.T.C. men in Funston. I can now describe how it feels to stand on the company parade grounds & see the entire company march off. It sure makes one feel lonesome. The order was late in arriving, so quite a number of our men have not been with us since resuming our studies. (Page 2) [no text] (Page 3) NATIONAL WAR WORK COUNCIL ARMY AND NAVY YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATIONS "WITH THE COLORS" 1917 The camp is deserted as far as infantrymen are concerned. All one can see is a bunch of "rookies" or artillerymen. The latter have not moved yet. My letter must necessarily be brief as candidates in the officers training camp have not a great deal of time of their own. With best wishes I remain. Yours very truly, W.E.
