(Page 1) France Nov 8th 18 3 My Dear Folks Well here I am again, my Company hasn't arrived yet. I left them five days ago on the billeting detail, so I have had a small vacation. The second and third Battery arrived last nite [sic], and I had to stay up and billet one [illegible text] of them when they got it. It is sure chilly over here and I have a pretty bad cold. I have a nice bucket but it almost too small. How is the Spanish Flu now, hope they have it checked and that (Page 2) 2 none of you kids get it. Aunt Shannah said it was pretty bad in England. It is just seven months today we landed in Liverpool England May 8 18 and it will be eight months Dec 25th since we left the states. It sure seems like eight years to me. Well Germany is all by her lonesome self now but I think she can hold out for a little while yet but not too long, but it will only mean a loss of men to her, and still a surrender. There is an Amer. Hospital down the road about a mile, and there (Page 3) 3 is about eight nurses there. They are the first American girls I have seen and talked too since I was in Nancy that time and it sure seemed good to see some again. Do you ever see Freda if so tell her hello. I guess you heard about poor [illegible text] getting his while we on the big drive, sure was too bad. Say next time you write send me some pictures of all. Will ring off with Love to All.
