201-203 South Main; Kirksville Photos by Drake, 1893: The Clifford Henry Album (MUSDP K1)

Brothers Albert F. & George A. Grassle, came to Kirksville from Memphis, MO in 1887 and opened their wagon factory on S. Main near the Wabash Depot; their father, Frederick Grassle, joined them in the business the following Spring. Frederick is in front of the shop with his hands on his hips and his sons are probably among the other employees standing around. Unfortunately, we don't know which ones they might be.
