2:04 Independent Order of Odd Fellows Parade

On April 26, 1897, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows celebrated the organization's 78th anniversary with a full day of events sponsored by the Kirksville and La Plata lodges. Nearly 500 Odd Fellows and Rebekahs from Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois participated in the parade which started at Odd Fellows Hall, southwest corner of the downtown square, and ended at A.T. Still Infirmary. This photo shows the parade at the northeast corner of the square going east on Harrison Street and turning south onto Franklin Street.
