2:16 Richard M. Ringo Residence

Richard M. Ringo, seated in the rocker on his front lawn, was cashier and later president of the Kirksville Savings Bank from the time of its organization in 1873 until his death in 1908. He and his wife Quintilla Haynes Ringo built this new home at the site of the old Cumberland Academy in 1893. The young ladies at the porch railing are their daughters, Eugenia and Althea. This house was located at 405 East Hickory Street.
